Weighted Olympic Scores

The following table shows the medal count for national teams at the London 2012 Summer Olympics with a weighted score for each team. The weighted score is determined by the number of medals of each type that each team has won, with different types of medals contributing to the score in different magnitudes. By default, three points are awarded for each gold, two for each silver, and one for each bronze. Medal count data are gathered from the official London 2012 web site.
